When your mum wanted to make a call she knew it was an important call and one she needed to make. That was because it took her half an hour to make it by her old fashioned wheel telephone that certainly gave her time to think if the call was absolutely necessary.
Nowadays we dial and text at the touch of a button not really thinking about who
we are calling and why. Are the big telephone companies getting rich off our laziness
