With the economy in a total mess, high street shops closing and big British companies like BT cutting jobs, what are our members of parliament doing to sort out the mess this country is in?
Well, actually just as you would expect from our once, “cut above the rest” country – not a lot, in fact they are making matters worse.
With the whole country in dire panic about what’s going to happen to people’s livelihoods and businesses on the high street closing.
House prices are plummeting and the markets have almost dried up. Banks have massive cash problems and even Quantative Easing has done little but increase our national debt, which the IMF will love us for when they take over our economy shortly.
Our very own lives have become more stressful and troublesome as we long for the days of secure jobs and cheap food at supermarkets. Not to mention cheap petrol, whisky and cigarettes that were once every working mans luxury. Gone are the day’s when we thought we were untouchable in the worlds downturns and economic depressions.
In any case we need not worry about anything as we have a fine army of well trained slippery cadgers to help grease the wheels of economy, and make the most of each and every tax payer’s hard earned pound notes.
That’s right, we have MP’S who get money from us for second homes, money for expenses, money for travelling, money for new work attire and oh yes money for new light bulbs. Also paint to redecorate their lovely new house paid for by you and I.
The stories that are outrageous are the MP’S who have been caught out claiming mortgages for homes that did not exist, make us wonder how far some of them have really been abusing our system and the levels of scandal that they have gone to.
Not to get this wrong, they do need a decent residence as members of Parliament. But do they really need to milk the system all the way to the dairy farm? The answer is of course, no and only from massive public pressure have the dominoes of conscience begun to topple. One after the other MP is now coming forward to put right their wrongs with their cheque books in hand. The honest truth is, the way our governments handle public money, it might as well have been spent on these misguided souls who happen to be the latest target of the public’s rage.
Do they really think they have done anything morally wrong?
If it was there to claim in the first place, can we really blame them?
No, it is the system that is flawed and we should not forget that.
Yet, whatever happens to our once great country, we can be sure that even if we are suffering as a nation, and everything seems to have come to a halt, we can reach out, and look up to our MP’S for guidance. We know that they will be doing the right thing for our country and we can feel a justice is being served throughout the land, with our leaders following a strict code of conduct that should inspire us and make us all proud to be British.
Yes... Well...!
