How to take Homeopathic Remedies

Remedies are usually in the form of tablets or pills, sometimes in granules or liquid. Tablets are taken one at a time in a dry mouth, eat or drink nothing for five minutes on either side of taking the tablet, allow it to dissolve, chew if it is a hard one.

Keep remedies out of sunlight and away from strong odours. You may touch your own remedy but do not touch remedies for family members or friends.

Antidotes to be avoided

Homeopathic remedies are attenuated by a process of dilution and succession, this captures the curative energy of the herb or mineral used but makes the potencies sensitive to strong influences, for example, camphor, menthol, eucalyptus and strong mints like peppermint and spearmint, garden mint in cooking is safe, A good fennel toothpaste is available which avoids the usual minty ones. Also coffee, including decaffeinated coffee, there is caffeine in tea which does not antidote, it is the coffee that antidotes.

In the first interview all symptoms are reviewed, physical, mental and emotional, also your history of illnesses and treatments, also family medical history which may indicate any inherited causes.
