Then there was Iraq and Saddam Hussein who was supposedly sheltering Al Qaeda operatives
and hiding weapons of mass destruction. As it later turned out after a regime change
in Baghdad and countless murders of innocent civilians that Iraq indeed did not have
any weapons of WMD and probably never did apart from when we sold them to Saddam
a number of years ago to be used against Iran.
The claim that they were harbouring
Al Qaeda operatives also was later proved to be a lie.
Our governments claim that terrorists (mostly Muslim Extremists) are hell bent on
killing us and after what we have done to their countries then we should not be surprised
if that were to be true.
The fact of the matter is that they are not hell bent on killing us and even if they were there was probably little they could do about it. The real issue is how the governments of the west mainly America and the UK are making us think that we are constantly under threat from a silent enemy that we all must fear.
This is not the case and the people we should actually fear are in fact our own governments and what they are planning to do with this fear they hold over the public.
They say they will protect us from this evil if we just give up our freedom and that
is what they want – for us to give up our freedom so we can be under total control
from the state. We must be aware that by taking our freedom does not give us protection
from terrorists and people have to wake up to this before it is too late. We are
in fact being conned in to believing that by giving up our freedom and our rights,
we will then be safe. History has shown this is never the case and we must protect
our civil rights at all costs.
It has also been mentioned that a “war on terror” is not something you can actually
win and maybe this is what they want so they can carry on saying that in order for
us to protect you, you must surrender your freedom.
Does something feel very wrong
about their mantra and if we are not aware of it, we will never hope to defeat it.

Civilians under attack
The government are meant to be fighting a war on terror but where is the threat actually coming from.
Originally after 911 the threat from terrorism was from Afghanistan and the Taliban network of Jihadist that were hell bent on killing us and not to mention the fact that they were hiding Osama Bin Laden and the Al Qaeda network in their mountain hideouts.
Afghanistan and in fact Bin Laden were never really proven to be behind any attacks against the west at any period in time.
