We would all like to think that because George Bush has left the White House the policies that will come out of Washington are to be totally different.
We might even hope and pray to god that whatever comes out of the White House will just be a little better on the surface even if nothing really changes underneath.
I think that whatever rhetoric comes out of Washington which might make us think that things have changed will sadly not follow through with any substance which will make us finally realise that things have in fact got worse along the map of the neocon agenda.
You might be thinking – hey give this guy a chance, he has only been in the white house for a short time and you never know – he might be different!
Soon after the Obama inauguration when everybody was hoping things might be different from Iraq to Guantanamo Bay and the war on terror. The Obama legal team were in battle at court trying to stop motions from falsely imprisoned detainees from Guantanamo to gain respect and compensation from being put through their ordeal. The simple halt from Obama on the grounds of national security makes you think that things have not changed at all in the White House.
Would it not have been wiser while the whole world was watching waiting for the closure and release of these prisoners that he should think to send out the right message to the world that things have changed and close the base quickly and let these people have their day in court and put it all to bed in the public conscience.
Not so, and I think that action so early into this presidency and not further down the line, indicate that the cover up has just started to untangle with Obama and who knows how bad things will soon get under him.
His whole team including his chief of staff are made up of ex neocons that served under the Bush regime and I do not need to tell you that just changing the man at the top does not mean real change, it has to be filtered all the down to the foot soldiers and that is something Obama has failed to do.
He had his chance and he blew it and the real question now is how long before everyone wakes up and realises that the only wind of change to come out of the White House is a new wind of lies and deceit designed to confuse us into thinking things really have changed and all will be different when all the indications say they won’t.
We will be watching the Obama Presidency here at NewsCast and following what really goes on behind the scenes of the White House. We will uncover the spin doctors techniques at how they try to lie to the public and we send out a clear message to the governments here (London) and abroad America) that we can be lied to yes but we will not believe everything that is said to us anymore and we will do what we can to seek out the truth because the truth is all that we have and we will fight to know the truth.
